Another Happy Thanksgiving, Y'all
As we look back on 2025, I hope we do so with a spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving for all of us. I'll admit I didn't reach all my goals this year, but I'm so happy to see that many of my family and friends did.
Now, please don't take what I said above the wrong way. I set some mighty high goals, so 2025 was a good year. My third novel in the Kelly Can Saga Series, A Cowboy's Dilemma, launched in August, and Destiny and Fortune continued solid sales.
I decided to improve my guitar playing. Many of you know I sing and play at some of my book signings. I've been a singer and have performed in public since I was a kid. I also took some guitar lessons as a teenager. But, for over thirty years, I didn't play at all. And now I want to play better than I do, so I started lessons with Hector Pimentel a short while ago. Hector is a marvelous guitarist who has played for some of our Presidents (POTUS) and toured around the world. He is part of the Pimentel family of world-class luthiers. Many professionals play their guitars, including Jean Prescott, whom some of us know from the International Western Music Association (IWMA).
I'm giving myself, for Christmas, a new custom-made Pimentel guitar, hand-made by Rick Pimentel. As I said, I'm going to become a better guitarist. I'm thankful I can do this and make plans for 2026 to continue growing as an author and musician/singer.
Again, my sincerest hope is that each of you can look back and find something to be thankful for, and make plans so that 2026 will be a time of continued growth and happiness.
Happy Trails,
Joe
