E. Joe Brown pursues his passion as an author writing The Kelly Can Saga, a series of historical fiction with Artemesia Publishing. He is currently an Advisor to the SWW Board of Directors, a member of the Western Writers of America, a member of the Military Writers Society of America, and the President of New Mexico Westerners. He served as a New Mexico State Music Commissioner appointed by Governor Susana Martinez and on the International Western Music Association Board of Directors. In these roles, he influenced the culture of New Mexico and the American Southwest through literature, music, poetry, and education. He is a proud retiree of the United States Air Force.
